For more than 30 years Jonah Reuben has been playing his unique style of Christian music through different music venues and organizations and is the driving force behind the music of Accidental Proffit. Using various styles, Accidental Proffit defy description as they draw their audience into a sometimes controversial portrait of what they see as real life. Their music has been described as reminiscent of Bob Dylan and they have the same ability to draw out people's emotions with their music and touch a nerve with every note they play.
Members of Accidental Proffit include: Gordon Kruse on bass, Baird Nye on percussion, and Jonah Reuben on guitar and lead vocals. They are occasionally joined by local musicians at their concerts and recording projects that blend nicely with the talents of the other members. Jonah's raspy vocals makes it hard to ignore their message of uncompromising devotion to God. Jonah, who writes most of the band's material, describes his music as, "Kind of in your face evangelism with a nice melody."
"We're more about ministry than entertaining." He says. "People seem to be sleeping while the world burns all around them. Our goal is to wake them up."
